Healing Hands: A Fundraising Dinner Supporting Healthcare in Gaza

An evening of food, community, conversation and action in support of Glia’s Complex Wound Care Program in Gaza.

Join Glia and host Dr. Ferrukh Faruqui on Sunday, September 13 for Healing Hands, a special fundraising dinner bringing the Ottawa community together in support of access to essential wound care in Gaza.

Healthcare systems in Gaza have been devastated, while healthcare workers continue to care for patients facing complex and life-changing injuries with severely limited resources. Glia’s Complex Wound Care Program works to help address this critical need by supporting access to specialized wound care, supplies, equipment and practical solutions for healthcare providers working in challenging conditions.

An Evening of Community and Connection
Healing Hands is more than a fundraiser. It is an opportunity to come together, learn more about the work being done, meet others who believe healthcare should be accessible to everyone, and help turn community support into meaningful care.

The evening will include:

• Dinner – enjoy an evening meal at Karahi Point Restaurant while connecting with members of the Ottawa community.
• Speakers and Stories – hear from people connected to the work and learn more about the realities of providing wound care in Gaza and the importance of Glia’s ongoing efforts.
• Art Auction – take home something meaningful while helping support healthcare initiatives.
• Vendors and Community Partners – discover local artists, businesses and organizations supporting the evening.
• Community and Conversation – meet fellow community members, healthcare professionals, advocates and supporters who believe in equal access to care.
