Founded by Syrian singer Leen Hamo and Lebanese jazz musician John Abou Chacra, their paths crossed at a Toronto fundraiser following the 2020 Beirut explosion — a moment that sparked a powerful musical connection. Born from resilience, cultural connection and shared passion for Arabic music, this project, with its vibrant energy, nostalgia and innovative approach, takes audiences on a journey through the rich musical traditions of the Middle East and North Africa, reimagined with a modern twist, blended with global influences such as Soul, funk and dream pop.

No Place is an exhibition by Ottawa-Gatineau artist Shannon Whittle featuring a series of reproduced and reconfigured paintings of imagined landscapes.
