The New Brunswick Youth Orchestra, under the direction of Antonio Delgado, presents an evening of exceptional orchestral music. Canada’s oldest provincial youth orchestra is celebrating its 60th anniversary with the aim of sharing this remarkable milestone far beyond provincial borders.

The concert’s centrepiece is Mahler’s majestic Symphony No. 1, “Titan,” accompanied by Prokofiev’s evocative “Montagues and Capulets” from the ballet Romeo and Juliet.

Adding a touch of vibrant Latin-American emotion, the performance will also feature the enchanting Glosa Sinfonica Margaritena by Inocente Carreno, a Venezuelan composition inspired by the folk music of Margarita Island, infused with Caribbean flair.

Hosted by NAC

The National Arts Centre (NAC) is Canada’s bilingual, multi-disciplinary home for the performing arts, including the NAC orchestra and Indigenous Theatre.
