In the weeks before Christmas\, the market is usually open on Saturdays.

DESCRIPTION:Formed in 2014 by lead singer\, songwriter\, and multi-instrumentalist Forrest Eaglespeaker and his partner Nevada Freistadt\, who provides vocal harmonies and compositions\, The North Sound is coming to the NAC with songs from their upcoming new album. Be among the first to hear it live! \nTrue to the traditions of Forrest’s heritage\, The North Sound was created to share stories of his Blackfoot identity and traditions from Treaty 7 Territory. With a no-holds-barred approach to songwriting\, Forrest’s lyrics span haunting metaphors\, from everyday experiences to personal realities. \nThe band’s music balances modern production techniques with a storytelling sensibility inspired by great artists like Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris. The North Sound is signed to the independent Indigenous record label New Sun Music (Nashville\, TN)\, founded by JUNO award winner Crystal Shawanda and her partner Dewayne Strobel.

DESCRIPTION:Explore over 85 local vendors year-round at Lansdowne Park every Sunday. \nOttawa Farmers’ Market is a producer-only organization that features vendors from within 100 kilometres of the city of Ottawa. The market is a great place to buy the freshest local products the season has to offer directly from the people who produce them\, meet friends\, have lunch and enjoy musicians\, buskers and special events. \nOpen all year round at Lansdowne Park\, the Ottawa Farmers’ Market takes place outside the Aberdeen Pavilion during the warmer months and inside the historic building in the winter. In the weeks before Christmas\, the market is usually open on Saturdays.
