Have a picnic in one of the city’s beautiful parks like Major’s Hill\, Rockcliffe and Vincent Massey\, and stroll or cycle the multi-use pathways that line waterways in Ottawa and Gatineau.  \nColourful countryside \nJust outside Ottawa’s urban core\, you’ll find protected landscapes dotted with farms\, forests and wetlands. Visit the numerous sites in National Capital Greenbelt to hike the trails and bike the paths\, photograph birds and sunsets\, or go apple and pumpkin picking.  \nHues in the hills \nGatineau Park—a bucolic conservation area just a 15-minute drive from Parliament Hill—is a popular fall destination thanks to its bright deciduous trees\, green conifers and rugged hills. Escape the crowds by visiting lesser known locations like the Philippe Lake Sector and Meech Creek Valley. You can also visit Mackenzie King Estate\, the historic home and surrounding grounds built by Canada’s 10th and longest-serving Prime Minister.  \nGetting around \nDue to Gatineau Park’s popularity during Fall Rhapsody\, access to and within the area is limited. Certain roads are closed to traffic during certain periods to allow active use\, and a limited amount of free NCC shuttle buses depart from Ottawa and Gatineau on weekends and stop at locations in the southern sector of the park.

DESCRIPTION:Databells is an immersive experience featuring a quirky and eclectic collection of reclaimed bells (from cowbells\, to jingle bells\, to doorbells\, to giant bells)\, all interconnected via sophisticated software which makes each bell chime in time to a large variety of statistics. Bells might ring when: “a star is born in our galaxy”\, “someone dies due to smoking”\, “a ship passes through the Suez canal”\, “an Amazon package is delivered”\, “Someone in this room just farted”\, and so on. This conceptual art piece gently guides the experiencer through a winding path of custom wood tables\, all arranged in an experiential statistical symphony.\n\nThis special exhibition experience is the first public showcasing of the Databells art installation by Rich Loen. DESCRIPTION:Visit a vintage barn a half-hour drive from downtown Ottawa in Manotick Station to shop for treasures created by artisans from around the world.  \nOne World Bazaar is open for seven weekends in the fall and online all year. Drop by in person and you’ll discover a heritage barn packed with beautiful handmade goods from all over the planet—everything from clothing and jewellery to dishes\, home décor and furniture. It’s a kaleidoscope of colours and textures\, with racks of colourful silk scarves\, shelves laden with vibrant pottery\, and hidden corners filled with large wooden animals and stone garden sculptures.  \nTo ensure economic sustainability for their producers\, the owners of this family-run enterprise work directly with artisans when possible\, develop strong relationships with them\, and pay a fair\, living wage that allows the crafters to support their families.

All proceeds from the ‘Silent Auction’ will directly benefit The Able2: Support for People with Disabilities\, empowers individuals with disabilities to lead fulfilling lives by supporting them with programs\, services\, and resources.\nThe Gala promises to immerse over 300 attendees in a culturally enriching experience.
