Swing on the Hill 2025 brings Ottawa’s beloved free summer swing dance social back to Parliament Hill. Step into the spirit of the 1920s to 1940s with swing music, dancing and community in a welcoming outdoor setting. All levels are welcome, with beginner-friendly lessons, DJ sets and plenty of open-air dancing—no partner or experience needed.

More than 150 artists showcase their work in a beautiful park setting, with painters, photographers, collage artists, sculptors, potters, clothiers, jewellery makers, and more. Amble through the rows of art, eat delicious local food, take in some entertainment, and laze by the creek under a willow tree. Rain or shine. Free admission.

The largest producer-based farmers’ market in Eastern Ontario, with over 100 vendors offering produce, baked goods and crafts.

Come purchase vegetables, honey, meat, sauces, cheese, and other goods from local producers in rural Ottawa. The market was founded in 1994 by local residents Carolyn Seabrook and Andrew Harkness. Carolyn sold Andrew on the idea of a farmers’ market in her family’s vacant barn, and together they launched the project.
