SUMMARY:Revival: Printmaking in Nunavik (2014–2019)
DESCRIPTION:Revival echoes the beginnings of stonecut printing in Puvirnituq in 1961\, and bears witness to the recent resurgence of this art. Lyne Bastien and Maggie Napartuk have made this possible through traveling workshops offered in communities across Nunavik since 2014. Puvirnituq prints were simple\, unadorned depictions of animals and scenes belonging to traditional Inuit imagery. Now\, sixty years later\, Inuit artists continue to demonstrate a profound desire to keep their culture alive through this art form. Revival gives us a glimpse into the many wonders and challenges of their world. This touring exhibition is presented in collaboration with the Avataq Cultural Institute\, supported by the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec as well as the Makivik Corporation.

SUMMARY:Sébastien Gaudette – Ephemeral Language
DESCRIPTION:Sébastien Gaudette’s artistic practice centres on paper — a medium he explores through sculpture\, installation and drawing. His approach creates a graphic dialogue where the gesture leaves only the imprint of movement\, evolving gradually into increasingly complex forms. In doing so\, he challenges the materiality of paper and transforms our perception of it. Crumpled\, folded or torn\, the paper reflects the creative process and becomes the narrative thread that guides his work. \nThe exhibition unfolds like a striking mise-en-scène\, where monumental paper constructions intertwine with metal sculptures and drawings. These temporary installations are assembled directly on-site\, allowing them to integrate with the space they inhabit. The opening takes place April 17 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.\, in a joint opening with the 44.4 Mother/Artist Collective at City Hall Art Gallery.

If you want to hear from someone who’s walked the walk—don’t miss this. \nPlease note: The ONE Forum will be held at the EY Centre.\nThe networking lunch will take place separately at Anderson Links Golf & Country Club. \nONE (The OTUS Nonprofit Exchange\, formerly OAX) is more than a half-day event—it’s a response to what we’ve heard from hundreds of nonprofit and association leaders across Canada: \n\n“We want to connect with our peers\, share openly\, and walk away with ideas that actually help.” \n\nSo that’s exactly what ONE is built to do.\nIf you’re navigating change\, rethinking your funding model\, managing a burnt-out team\, or just craving real connection with peers who get it—this event is for you. \n🔹 What to Expect\nThis isn’t your typical conference. You’ll get a mix of high-level insight\, peer-driven discussion\, and practical tools you can take back to your team. \n🔹 Survey Insights with David Coletto\, Abacus Data\nDavid breaks down the results of the 2025 ONE Survey—what’s keeping nonprofit leaders up at night\, what’s shifting in public trust\, and what it all means for strategy\, staffing\, and funding in the year ahead. \n🔹 Panel: Leading Through Uncertainty\nModerated by Tony Lyons\, this panel explores what it takes to lead when nothing feels predictable. We’ll dig into succession planning and how to build financial resilience when the future feels foggy. \n🔹 HR on the Edge: Navigating Global Shifts\, Trends & Talent Strategy + Peer Roundtables with Karen Brownrigg\nFrom recruiting and retention to hybrid policies and hard conversations—no HR topic is off-limits. Then dive into peer-led roundtables to swap insights with other nonprofit leaders. \n🔹 Revenue Reimagined: A Real-World Look at What’s Working\nPresented by Cherry Chan\, CEO of OTUS\nGrants and donations aren’t enough anymore. In this direct\, practical session\, Cherry will unpack how real nonprofits are generating revenue outside of dues\, donations\, and government funding—drawing from OTUS’s experience supporting over 300 organizations and its bold $50 million sustainability challenge. \n🔹 Choose Your Experience\nStart with breakfast and networking\, then dive into expert panels\, honest conversations\, and practical tools. Want to keep the conversation going? Join us for an optional lunch and golf at Anderson Links Golf & Country Club. \nYou’ve got options: \n\nThe ONE Forum\nONE + Lunch\nONE + Lunch + Golf\n\n⛳ Location: Anderson Links Golf & Country Club\, Ottawa\n🕛 Timing: Immediately after the forum (details in your confirmation email) \n🎟️ Tickets: Choose your experience when you register. \n🎯 Who Should Attend \n\nNonprofit and association leaders\nExecutive Directors and CEOs\nSenior staff in finance\, operations\, strategy\, and communications\nBoard members ready to think differently about sustainability and growth\n\nIf you’re leading through complexity and ready to stop doing things the same old way—this room is for you.\nSpace is limited.
