The team’s mascot\, Cappy\, is a family favourite. During non-game days and the off-season\, the 10\,000-seat RCGT Park stadium is also used to host concerts\, festivals and other events.  \nThe venue is conveniently located along Ottawa’s main highway\, and parking is available. The stadium is also easily accessible by public transportation via the light rail O-Train Confederation Line\, which stops at the VIA Rail station just a short walk from the stadium.

DESCRIPTION:A powwow is a gathering to celebrate First Nations culture through dance\, songs\, food and crafts\, and is open to all. The Pow Wow Workout is 45-minute high-intensity exercise program that will incorporate powwow dance steps from different styles of powwow dance and the sounds of contemporary and traditional powwow music into a simple\, follow-along workout. DESCRIPTION:This NACO Mentorship program is made possible in part through the generous support of the Friends of the NAC Orchestra. \n—– \n\nExperience an evening of music that celebrates the joyful eruptions of spring and the warm serenity of the desert. \nElemental\, primordial\, dissonant\, pagan: words that describe Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring making it a deliciously shocking and essential musical experience! \nJohn Luther Adams’s ethereal Become Desert completes a musical trilogy he never intended to write.\n\nThis is a night for mysteries and magic\, as Alexander Shelley leads the NAC Orchestra and participants of the NACO Mentorship Program through some of the classical world’s most otherworldly music from both traditional and contemporary composers.  \nBecome Desert\, by Pulitzer Prize-winning composer John Luther Adams\, is a sensory experience that will conjure the sprawling\, shimmering beauty of a vast sea of sand. The warm sun rises\, its tone and intensity changes throughout the day\, and desert life comes and goes. The music evokes the movement of a beautiful but unforgiving landscape.  \nFor years\, the narrative about the riot caused by the premiere of Igor Stravinsky’s Rite of Spring in 1913 Paris was that the whirling dervish of music and choreography drove audience members to lose their minds. It’s almost a shame it’s not true. But make no mistake: Rite of Spring creates a cathartic\, unruly\, and beautiful musical world that will viscerally pull you in and keep you spinning long after the final note.

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow sports fans and catch professional baseball games from May to September in Canada’s capital at Ottawa Stadium\, just east of downtown. \nThe Ottawa Titans Baseball Club plays in the Eastern Conference of the Frontier League\, which includes 15 teams from Ontario\, Québec\, and the U.S. northeast. The team’s mascot\, Cappy\, is a family favourite. During non-game days and the off-season\, the 10\,000-seat RCGT Park stadium is also used to host concerts\, festivals and other events. \nThe venue is conveniently located along Ottawa’s main highway\, and parking is available. The stadium is also easily accessible by public transportation via the light rail O-Train Confederation Line\, which stops at the VIA Rail station just a short walk from the stadium.

SUMMARY:Escapade Music Festival
DESCRIPTION:Escapade Music Festival is the first festival of its kind in the NCR. It is an event dedicated to the development of the electronic music scene and demographic in the NCR. Escapade Music Festival’s goals are to produce a festival during the Canada Day time frame that is unrivalled in the country by combining the most sought after international talent\, best and most accomplished local talent\, over the top production\, along with unparalleled service and ambiance. Escapade Music Festival made its debut in 2010 with over three thousand (3\,000) people attending the inaugural event that featured sound and visual production never experienced with an event of this kind in the NCR. The event was headlined by Canadian born superstar\, Grammy-award winning DJ and producer Deadmau5. In 2011\, Escapade Music Festival came even stronger with an artist that had never performed in Ottawa and that is known as the biggest DJ in the world. In addition to having the pleasure to be entertained by TIËSTO\, patrons had the chance to see two (2) additional international stars in Laidback Luke and Calvin Harris (also his first time in Ottawa) as well as six (6) local and national DJ’s. The event attendance almost doubled in size since its first year inception with a crowd of almost five thousand (5\,000) people. With the increasing demand for this type of music and event in the NCR\, DNA Presents moved to the Ottawa Stadium for its 2012 edition. With the likes of Avicii\, Afrojack\, Eric Prydz and more\, 2012 saw the festival grow to 15\,000 attendees. With no slowing down in sight\, 2013 saw Escapade Music Festival grow to over 20\,000 attendees over 2 days at the RA Centre. Our 5th anniversary in 2014 saw us hit a record attendance of 28\,000 attendees at our newest home\, The Rideau Carleton Raceway. Finally\, in 2015\, Escapade returned to Rideau Carleton Raceway for two amazing days of music event was headlined by Canadian born superstar\, Grammy Award winning DJ and producer Deadmau5.
