The festival also showcases Canadian artists\, like The Tragically Hip and Blue Rodeo\, and many local acts. \nDance all day and long into the night at LeBreton Flats\, a vast outdoor site next to the Canadian War Museum\, just outside of downtown Ottawa. DESCRIPTION:Les Mamans du Congo & Rrobin embody and sing to the African woman of the future. The self-described educators transmit Congolese cultural heritage and traditions to international stages\, with music never heard in Africa. \nTheir debut album\, EP Kikento\, led to international acclaim. Their new album\, Ya Mizolé (whose name means number 2 in Lari\,) marks the culmination of years of struggle and sound experimentation in the Congo. It combines DIY percussive instruments\, electronic beats\, bass music and Afrobeats with drum machines\, rap and spellbinding choruses. This charismatic\, feminist group aims to raise awareness and preserve ancestral Bantu values\, rhythms and melodies.
