SUMMARY:Great Gable - 'Small Fry' Album Tour
DESCRIPTION:Western Australian rock band Great Gable returns to their roots with Small Fry\, a deeply personal album inspired by their home state. Recorded in Perth for the first time since 2018\, the album marks their debut at Blackbird Studios with producer Dave Parkin. Lead singer Alex Whiteman\, guitarist Matt Preen\, bassist Christopher Bye\, and drummer Madi Hanley have crafted a record that captures the essence of Western Australia while showcasing their evolving sound. \nAlex reflects\, “A lot of the album draws from my experiences growing up in WA. Those memories bring a mix of emotions\, nostalgia\, and sentimentality\, which make the music feel authentic and special to me.” \nFrom the first notes of Best Friend to the closing moments of Asleep\, the authenticity of Small Fry is unmistakable. Following their 2023 EP Read The Room\, Alex wrote much of the album solo at home between tours\, later sharing his demos with the band and Dave. “Dave did a great job of preserving the original vibe of the demos while improving the overall sound quality\,” Alex adds. \nSmall Fry offers listeners a genuine glimpse into the band’s journey and their connection to the place they call home. \n
