DESCRIPTION:Watch the world-famous RCMP Musical Ride Mounties perform a free\, time-honoured tradition in Canada’s capital\, including complex and thrilling cavalry figures and drills choreographed to music.  \nOver one weekend each summer\, a full troop of 32 riders and their horses perform the Canadian Sunset Ceremonies at their home base—the RCMP Musical Ride Centre\, located just east of downtown Ottawa. The time-honoured tradition features an impressive performance by the Musical Ride\, a flag lowering ceremony at sunset\, and a participatory singing of the national anthem.  \nThis free event is held outdoors and may be canceled due to inclement weather.

DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this event is to grow the game of basketball within the Ottawa community. Players will get a chance to gain some exposure by competing in the camp with college and university coaches in attendance.  \nThe intention is to give kids a platform where they can display their abilities as an athlete and basketball player\, while the coaches in attendance have the chance to find a hidden gem that may help their respective teams.  \nThis showcase will also be a fundraiser with all proceeds being distributed equally to each of the teams involved.

DESCRIPTION:Daily\, from late June to late August\, regimental bands from the Ceremonial Guard will perform a free concert from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. \nThe band normally marches from the Cartier Square Drill Hall along Elgin Street to Parliament Hill and return. \nThe Ceremonial Guard may cancel the ceremony due to inclement weather or precluding special events.

DESCRIPTION:Join fellow sports fans and catch professional baseball games from May to September in Canada’s capital at Ottawa Stadium\, just east of downtown. \nThe Ottawa Titans Baseball Club plays in the Eastern Conference of the Frontier League\, which includes 15 teams from Ontario\, Québec\, and the U.S. northeast. The team’s mascot\, Cappy\, is a family favourite. During non-game days and the off-season\, the 10\,000-seat RCGT Park stadium is also used to host concerts\, festivals and other events. \nThe venue is conveniently located along Ottawa’s main highway\, and parking is available. The stadium is also easily accessible by public transportation via the light rail O-Train Confederation Line\, which stops at the VIA Rail station just a short walk from the stadium.
